ST THOMAS' C of E AIDED PRIMARY VISION STATEMENT

At St Thomas' our aim is for children to be happy, confident, thoughtful learners who take ownership of their learning, are proud of their achievements and are well prepared to be contributing members of society ready for life in the modern world.

With children helping to design a creative, stimulating and challenging curriculum, suited to the children's needs, they will become independent thinkers and collaborative workers.  Their learning will be meaningful, challenging and have purpose and equip each child with the skills they need for lifelong learning.

We value risk and challenge, respect and empathy, reflection and responsibility.

As an Aided Church of England School, Christian knowledge, experience and values are given prominence in all areas of school life and although times and Society have changed since the founding of the School and the formulation of our Trust Deed, we believe that as an Aided School we will positively set standards of behaviour and morality which are informed by Christ’s teaching.

Siams inspection 29th June 2016, 'St Thomas’ school is welcoming and caring, nurturing each individual within its Christian ethos. This is evident in all aspects of school life and demonstrated in the excellent relationships between all members of the school community. '
