Welcome to St Thomas' C of E Aided Primary School

'The school’s curriculum is strength and meets the needs of pupils well.'

'Pupils enjoy the topics they study.'

'They enjoy the practical aspects of their science work.'

'They look forward to the creative aspects of the curriculum, including filming stop-motion animations linked to their history work.'

'Pupils’ social and emotional development is served well by the wider curriculum and the many enrichment activities available.'

'Pupils sing with enthusiasm and many take advantage of a wide range of sports and activity clubs available to them during and after school.'

'Classroom visits showed that teachers are particularly aware of the need to ensure that pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds are challenged and inspired to achieve well.'

'Pastoral support is also strong.'

As an Aided Church of England School, Christian knowledge, experience and values are given prominence in all areas of school life and although times and Society have changed since the founding of the School and the formulation of our Trust Deed, we believe that as an Aided School we will positively set standards of behaviour and morality which are informed by Christ’s teaching.

Siams inspection 29th June 2016, 'St Thomas’ school is welcoming and caring, nurturing each individual within its Christian ethos. This is evident in all aspects of school life and demonstrated in the excellent relationships between all members of the school community. '
